Mary's Blush

Mary's Blush

Description

A touch of citrus and floral, complimented by peach and pear accents make this semi-sweet wine one to enjoy on all occasions. Made with LaCrescent & Frontenac grapes, this Blush is a tribute to brides everywhere as the lovely Mary lends an aura of elegance in her turn of the century gown. Enjoy this wine lightly chilled with mild cheeses, salads and desserts. Similar to White Zinfandel.

Mary's Blush is named in remembrance of Martha's Grandmother. The label on the bottle features Mary on her wedding day in the late 1800s. The exquisite lace and delicate flowers, which adorn the beautiful bride, suggest the delightful character of the wine bearing her name.

In addition, Lavender Crest Winery was named in her honor as well. As a child Martha remembers the lovely lavender scented soaps and sachets, which graced Mary's home-a rare find indeed in 19th Century farm homes. Today Mary's memory is vibrantly evoked by the aromatic lavender beds, which adorn the winery, which have been established for the enjoyment of all of Lavender Crest's guests.
